Hydraulic RAM Repairs UK Ltd specialise in the repair, service and overhaul of a of Hydraulic RAM's and associated equipments at HIGHLY COMPETITIVE PRICES.
We offer our repairs services nationwide. We collect/deliver throughout the UK.
If required, we can arrange for Hydraulic RAM removal and re-fitting. If so an additional charge will apply. Other on site services include: test existing oil supply. Supply/refill system with hydraulic oil and test system/filters.
All work is performed at our fully equipped Mitcham, Surrey workshops carried out by certified engineers. Work may performed during normal working hours or on priority basis.
At Hydraulic RAM Repairs UK Ltd, we offer a prompt thirty six (36) hour turn-round 'repair and return' on seal replacement when ordered on our 'Special Priority Service' if examined by us before 1.00pm. Typical turn-round time is
2-3 days.
Most Hydraulic RAM's can be repaired by us. However, if in the opinion of our Senior Workshop Engineering Supervisor, it may not be cost-effective to do so or the Hydraulic RAM Unit is likely to be unreliable or prone to poor operation at a future date, the customer will be advised accordingly. Such advice will be supported with a report together with our recommendations on a suitable like-for-like replacement.

What are the benefits of repairing hydraulic RAMs or refurbished compared to replacing with new?
- It is a very quick and cost effective solution - especially for heavy duty Hydraulic RAMs.
- Improved hydraulic seal replacements - have your hydraulic RAM seals upgraded from the original seals plus additional guide seals thus creating longer life and endurance
- Upgrade the rod type and quality in order to extend life and durability
- Replace existing chrome-plated piston shafts - the surface finish of the shaft can have a significant impact on the life and durability of the seals. If the surface has damage or burs or if the roughness is too high or too low, it can create an unacceptable level of fluid seepage, thus reducing its effectiveness. Bent rods are another major issue if allowed to continue untreated. Over 30% of cylinder rod seal failures are caused by bent rods. For heavy duty Hydraulic RAM use, having the shafting replaced will create usage longevity.

Can older equipment and/or obsolete cylinders be repaired?
- YES. At Hydraulic RAM Repairs, we can refurbish an existing cylinder, machine parts that are no longer available, or build new customized to your specifications.
What is the benefit in sending your faulty cylinders to our Mitcham repair workshops?
- We collect and return the hydraulic RAM. We operate throughout the UK. Alternatively, you can drop off your Hydraulic RAM at our Mitcham workshops and, subject to the prevailing work load, it may prove possible to provide costs 'there and then' to carry out the required work on your Hydraulic RAM.
- We can identify the underlying problem with your Hydraulic RAM that may not be apparent at first glance. Replacing seals without investigating the underlying problem is equal to throwing money away. In many cases, the Hydraulic RAM seals are not the underlying cause.
