Checklist for Hydraulic RAM Seals
We stock a wide range of Hydraulic RAM Seals and other commonly used items.
To ensure the desired function and long working life of a ram seal, we make sure the necessary installation process is undertaken at our workshops. For example:
- The appropriate ram seal material with good compatibility is selected for a specific application.
- A preferred material for ease of fabrication will be selected for the hydraulic seal.
- The ram seal contact surface should be fine finished and throughly polished.
- The clearance between the ram seal and the sealing surface should be kept small enough in order to prevent the seal from squeezing in between the clearance gap.
- The cylinder piston rod ram seals should wipe out all undesired contaminants from entering the system as they are the main source of oil contamination.
- During the mounting process, we ensure the ram seals are not tilted due to the quality of the piston rod in order to prevent their premature failure.
- For a longer service life of the ram seal, proper cleaning of the seal and sealing surface should be carried out frequently.
